Wishing that someone besides my husband was following this. Kind of getting bummed out at the lack of coupons in the papers. Missing the big sales. Starting to go through with-drawl. Please help. I know you are out there. Someone, Anyone.......okay maybe later

Free stuff

I finally got free stuff. I participated in the Kroger buy 5 get $ 5 off sale and used coupons and got 2 packages of Huggies baby wipes for FREE, I also had 2 different coupons 1 for $5 and 1 for $3 for the new tylenol precise items used both of them on 1 item and ended making 50 cents on the deal. So $10 in free stuff plus $23 dollars used in coupons- store sales etc i saved almost $40 - not bad for a quick trip to the store

Paying attention

So here I have been trying to pass along info that I have found out about shopping in the Peoria area and have to chastize myself because the one thing that I have always said is PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL. So here how this blew up in my face. I was re-reading my weekly circulars for the store's and came to realize when I read the fine print for Schnuck's ( a store I don;t normally shop at but think I'm gonna start) is "Double coupons apply to manufacturer coupons valued at 50 cents or less. Coupons valued at 51 cents - 99 cents redeemed at $1. For more details, check in store.

What ? this means all coupons are either doubled or go up to a buck....Yeah I am all over this stuff

Happy Hump Day - So tonight it is dinner with friends,wish hubby was here. The menu, according to the 3 yo in the house , is "Pasketti w/ cheese". @ things for you my friends. 1- check out hotcouponworld.com if you have a facebook account find them and "like" them because post all kinds of crazy stuff- I just signed up for a free Aveda sample kit all because of my new best friend hotcouponworld.com. 2. Definetly check out shop n save in Peoria it seems that they like to give you 10 dollars in free groceries (if you spend 50) on Thursdays and the usually have good deals in their ads plus numerous more if you walk the store - downfall is they DO NOT double coupons.

So the sun has come out and the rain has stopped  -
On Sunday go to a Walgreen's and get yourself a Chicago Tribune. It has much better coupons than the Journal Star - no offense

How many of you have watched the new show on TLC called Extreme Couponing ? I have and I am starting to become addicted. At first I thought "yeah right that doesn't really happen" and I am not so convinced it is as easy as they make it look to go into a store and get 4 carts full of groceries for what they get it for, But I will tell you that you can save money with a little bit of work. In the last 2 and 1/2 weeks I have managed to save $250 dollars just by paying attention to details. I am no means extreme and I am not sure I want to be that way but save money and stock a bit yes sir re bob SIGN ME UP. So how many people in the East Peoria or Peoria area would like to get involved in this with me and share deals and coupons? Come on ladies (and men) lets help each other and ourselves save some money.
